I autopsied the failed Cermark switch after I replaced it. The photo shows that the lead opposite the charge port had been just about worn in two. I lightly tugged on the lead and it came off in my hand, leaving the little wire stubs shown. The case had a hard plastic edge where the lead exited, with no grommet or potting material. Over time, vibration just sawed it in two. One more thing to check on a new switch.
