i think you can recoup most of your investment with all but the batteries. if taken care of as you have, lipos will last, but id bet you would have a harder time selling them compared to a used da 85. im not bashing electrics, there are just some costs factors i see imho.

Speed Controller - Turnigy K-Force 120A $220.00
Batteries - FlighMax 3 sets of 6S-4000 $65.00 x 12 = $780.00
Total = $1150.00
What does a DA-85 cost with pipes?
I flew the entire season on 3 sets of batteries and they still have all of their original snap.
I also use these batteries in other planes so it shares the cost. |
