I have just finished asembling and flying a new bird:
Edge 540 manufactured by a new company by the name of ARF Models from China.
Its new to me anyway, and I have bought it in Israel from the local dealer.
Wingspan 84", VERY light-weight, great covering, high quality building materials and assembly - all makes this model super atractive.
Flying weight 14.2lb with DA50 and stock muffler.
8611A's all around and 2X 2800mah 7.4v lions from TBM.
It is only when I test flight it for my friend that I have realized how good it is.
I know there are many good planes for 500cc out there now, but that's the first one I have connected to so good right in the first flight.
I am talking full 3D maneuvers right from the test flight, no glitches or surprises, super-steady harriers and inverted harriers, incredible spins of all kinds - a great surprise from a relatively unknown company.
I have learned that this company (like many others nowadays) used to produce planes for many brands - Hokusei models, cermark, and more and now have gone on their own path...
Worth checking out.
I have enjoyed this plane a lot, and I do believe we will hear a lot of this company in the next few month.
I have contacted my dealer inquiring about the 40% that is coming from them....
