This is a great looking plane, but Aeroworks really shines at the 100cc level and above. So far, the 50cc's are pretty heavy in the Pepsi taste test against Extreme Flight and 3D Hobby. not to mention Pilot RC. I have the 100cc Aeroworks 260 in the build and I've heard nothing but rave reviews of it. I'm hyped to fly it asap. I saw Kyle Rickaway maiden the Extra 300 35% and I've never seen a truer flying plane in my life. Verticals like rolling up a wall in a grooved bead. I've noticed that at the 100cc level the lightness thing can go too far and the plane looks like a floaty toy. I personally want to see these planes flown like a real plane, not in a way that emphasizes the fact that it's a toy. Just my two cents in the vast panorama of life. Chow down Renoir, only the slippery pygmies dig their way to China.

This doesn't look like a good 3D plane and it's not advertised like one.

Really!!, do me a favor go through your kitchen and look at all your utensil's, cups, fridge, stove, espresso machine, how about that entertainment center in your living room packed full of fancy electronics, don't forget the furniture your sitting on to enjoy those items all most likely made out of country nothing from china Malaysia or Indonesia.
I bet your morning shave and shower is made possible by goods 70% made out of country. Now go to your garage and see what you can find & let me guess you fly on a Jr Radio or maybe Hitec or a futaba those all imported.

I bet your home was built by a contractor packing a trailor full of tools made out of country.
Besides, See attached pic. Do you think that container came from another state?

I would be willing to bet that even the guys at D.A. power and control there airplanes with imported goods & Machine those fantastic American made Engines in Japanese built CNC mills. Where you you think they get the casted cylinders !?! I work for a fantastic Company that manufactures Stainless Steel Equipment right here in the states all with materials shipped in from china.

The bottom line is our dollar isn't worth beans and we can't compete. America is country of consumers. You most likely have no place to bash on anybody for trying to make his already undervalued money go farther.

because he said he has had three AW planes, and context clues led me to believe they all came out over the "advertised" flying weight

I don't think that AW and the FG team released this info so that every "internet expert" could tell them what's wrong with the plane 3 months before anyone sees one... I'm sure, based on AW's reputation, that they'll have a plane that flies true, is pretty easy to build, and offers the buyer a good value for thier hard earned money.

Yes, it looks like it's leaning more towards "scale" with the control surfaces... and according to them, that's by design. The already have a bipe out there that offers 3D performance.

Let's wait until they start showing up on people's doorsteps.... we'll have a lot of lovers, and a few haters... but I suspect that almost all of the actual owners will be lovers of the plane.

I think most folks myself included just want a realistic stock weight estimate. And that is just asking for truth in advertising.

From what I see and knowing AW it will be the best looking and highest quality plane in its class.
