Final "Dead A123 2500mah pack" UPDATE:

I did a 10 amp discharge test today down to 2.75v/cell or 5.5v pack voltage.....
Ambient temperature was 75*F

Starting voltage was 6.859v (both cells within 1mv)

Results:

2441mah out at 10 AMPS!!! (timer had 15m:12s) ..... (0.026v difference between cells)

After resting pack for about an hour, I charged back up....

6.301v pack voltage before starting charge.......

(2 minutes into charge both cells within 2mv balance)

2479mah went back in @ 3 amps......(51m:17s on timer)
(7.4mohm/6.9mohm Internal resistance on cells)(balanced within 1mv)

My tests so far say this pack is safe to use, and I couldn't be more happy...
Dodged a bullet on this one!

Note to self: Turn ALL switches off, bonehead!

so....what?

It sounds like a good report of resurrecting a pack...or are you seeing something in the numbers that tells you differently?

If you think the pack is still bad, let us know! because I would be tempted to use this same procedure if I had to resurrect a pack from a mistake like this...but I don't want to lose a plane as a result!

It's one of two things.

1. A Gregisum

2. Thinks it could have internal damage that may not be showing now but could go south down the road and cost a airframe.

I am taking bets that #1 is it.

Might be a slight bit of Gregisum..... but the pack would have to be much OLDER....
