How long should my MTW header be?

On Dave's site he states 10.5 for the 120. Running the DA60 with 1" drop header.
Double checking.

Also is it possible to squeeze more RPM by cutting the header length.....like a tuned pipe?

EDIT:

DUH!! 120 in half is a 60. Going for 10.5"

Actually I like 11" on the DA-100-120. Same for the 50-60.

wow... this thread almost 3 years old!!

Well.. I have had a set of Pro-Flow 3D Cannisters for over a year.... and between 4 kids, a busy job and a cranky engine, I have finally had the chance to put'em in my Compy SX with a 3W 170....

All I can say is WOW!!!! F'ing WOW!!! Clearly more power than the Cowl Muffs and the throttle response is really
manageable!! I had to take out the throttle curve.... it is a straight line now....

For those with a 3W 170.... try the Pro-Flow 3D cannister... you will not be dissappointed!!!

thanks Dave.... Thumbs Up!!

Hello Everyone! I need a little help here. I want to make a large batch of new Pro Flow T-Shirts and I am trying to decide what color. So far I have made Green, Black, White, Red and I also made a few Bright Orange ones.

What do you all think??? Thanks.

I vote for Orange.

Any news to share on the ProFlow Smooth Pipes for a 150cc sized engine?

Thanks for the great products.

I was disappointed with the performance of my DLE55, Xoar 23x8, KS 86 rear combination on my Pilot RC Extra 260. 6450 RPM was just not enough for me on this 17 lb. plane and I knew the DLE could do better. So I made some changes and here are my notes on the experiment.

My hypothesis is that the KS 86 rear is limiting the top end power of the DLE55 to below its full potential. Since, I have a Pro Flow canister that is available I will replace the KS. No other changes were made, tests were done at the same location in approximately the same atmospheric conditions.

ACTION:
Pull the KS 86
Lengthen the canister tunnel by 1” which is a time consuming PIA
Cut header back to 10.75” (fitment solution)
Install ProFlow medium

RESULTS:
Warm engine, low end clearly too rich
Didn’t touch needles
Test top end – I have gained 300 RPM
Retune
Test top end – I have gained 450 RPM
Remove some throttle curve as mid-range is now more linear

CONCLUSION:
KS 86 rear at 11” header was significantly restricting the top end power output of the engine.

If this doesn't prove what most of you already know then nothing will. Dave's product works as advertised!
