Once again Bob, I enjoyed our conversation last night. With every contact, I am more and more convinced that this airplane will be THE airplane of 2010! This rig will definitely change the way the world looks at giant scale aviation!

We are absolutely thrilled to be a part of this venture with you!

He uses 2000 grit. You can get it from any auto body paint supply shop or sherrin williams paint store.

Bob looking great. I might have to do a drive by and come get a look at the wings since the skinning. Oh can I use the pool table when I get back to building lol.

Greg is right, I go from 80 grit spline board sanding, then 180, 320, 600, and finally 2000 grit, after that I clean everything real good and burnish the entire suface of the airframe with my hands, this part take many hours, but will yield a Monokote finish that looks very close to paint work.

All my sand paper comes from automotive paint supply companies.

Bob,
Do you treat the wood with any sealer prior to the fine sanding or do you just sand the wood dry?

I don't put anything on the surface of the balsa, I also do not use a woodpecker on the balsa.
