In my case it was an A123 2300 straight into the ignition kill. No extra switches, no reg's. When I would plug the batt directly into the ignition, the problem went away. Would consume a lot of mah sitting in the pitts on all day when I bypassed it at the field. It always haunts me when I have to give up and don't figure out a problem. As you can see by me still posting here. Since the rcexl did the same thing I can't honestly say it was the SF. In fact it probably wasn't.

I would also say that our standard connectors are a problem. If the ignition is drawing more than an amp then the voltage drop through everything could be causing an issue but since you have the regulator connected directly to the ignition module this is less likely but still a possibility. I have had pilots drive two ignitions off one Ignition Cutoff receiver for DA-200s but they had to replace the connectors with Deans plugs to pass the current. This is something to consider in your case also.

I am running a different ignition kill (spark switch by power box) but if my li-ion gets to roughly 7.4v, the ignition will start cutting out at WOT. This should not happen with an A123 source but like Rob said, maybe to much current limitations some where.

I re-cut my fibers too. Didn't improve. I did not resolder a new jr/fut connector on the da ignition side like you did. Mine didn't improve. Only bypassing mine worked. Makes me wonder if some of the ignitions don't play well with ignition cutoffs. The guy at da heard of the issue and said that's why they don't recommend them. Funny thing is mine worked for months on the rcxl and just started causing drop outs one day. Sf same thing. Makes me think something goes wrong in the ignition after some use. It also bothes me when I can't figure out problems. I feel for you brutha.

Try setting your end points on the radio alittle different. Look to see when the light goes off and then go the opposite way a few percentages to see if that helps. My just be in the radio programming. |

The switch that I had programmed to the cut off still turns the cut off transmitter light on the eq6 on and off, is this normal or do I need to reprogram that channel and switch or???
Thanks for any help!!! |

I don't mind people jumping in as long as they don't start promoting other products. If someone can help before I can get a reply in that is fine.
