i looked at that and im seeing that it may need to be on 2.25 inch standoffs. Im not positive on this but i will double check it tonight. it does not appear that the firewall will need to be hacked open either as there is a generous hole in the center for my velocity stack

I ask because the Mintor 38 is virtually identical to the DLE-30 length wise. I had short standoffs on the Syssa with part of the carb inside the engine box.

What prop? I ran a Vess 18X6 on mine a little bit too... If you're looking for a speed demon, you may want to change props.. both the 18X6 and 18.5X5.5 are slow props... but they both pull well from a hover...

Thanks, I love the plane/combo, but I tend to treat it like a Colombian whore... lol... It's been my steady throw around plane for several years...

I think the EF Extra is one of my best planes, and after seeing how the Mintor 38 pulls around another friends plane, this is going to be a lot of fun.

fifty,
you and i would have a blast together flying our high stress aerobatics! that poor 3dhs velox sure bit terra firma hard! insane video.

one thing i noticed immeadiately about the extra is that the shear webbing is incredibly robust and the ribs are cut from dense wood! that helps my cause. the fuselage also has carbon stringers. i wonder if there is any CF hidden anywhere else?

I don't know, but there must be something magical in there... there's no other explanation for all the abuse my plane has taken... Last weekend, the the plane broke for the first time(in the air, I've broken it on the ground a couple times...lol)... one of the aileron hardpoints came loose... I think that's due to the plane sitting in the middle of a lake for a while in 2010.... many many hard flights later, this finally happened... lol

I hope we can meet up at an event or something... you headed to Nall this year?
