Show me any other 80cc engine that will turn 11,500 in the air and stay together for any length of time...a GT80 Will...
G26s routinely turn over 16,000 rpm in model boats...Try that on one of the Chinese wonders...
JC ? Don't make me laugh...I have a JC 102 twin I bought from Milton...looks OK but is down on power compared to other 100s...Also an early 50cc...Same thing, I took the crank out to replace one for a customer who had a 50 and couldn't get parts from anywhere else...
A leopard can't change his spots..FWIW, if you really have the DAs, thery're good...
Also youngster, I was working with Zenoah engines before you were a twinkle in your daddy's eye....Well almost..
Maybe if the Zenoah engines didnt weigh as much as a car(well not quite that much) they would be used more frequently. The GT80 weighs 6.75lbs without mufflers. Yes its a twin, but sheesh. 11,500 in the air or not, that doesnt make up for the 2+lb difference you are adding

If you lighten the Zenoah's and convert them to electronic ignition they aren't too bad...............but they are still a little heavier

11500 in the air is a glow fuel racing engine, weighs about 5...
62s with EI weigh about 4
26s with EI weigh 2 1/2
G38s with EI weigh 3

well then the glow racing engine is irrelevant and cant be considered or compared to anything gas with those specs
which means the GT80 is still far heavier.
the 62 is still 1lb heavier than a comparable engine

trend remains the same.

They are nicely made engine, but not usable for the IMAC/3D user with those weights IMO. I think they are well suited for scale planes.
