Well I finally got around to doing a little more painting.

My RC club is having a fly-in this coming Saturday in which the proceeds go to the local volunteer Fire Departments.

So I decided to paint up a flat foamy to donate as a raffle prize or auction item.

this is such a good old thread... great inspiration to many...

I really like the juxtaposition of the realfire and old school flames. It turned out great.

This started out at a plane white GWS A-10 until the newly upgraded to Iwata airbrush got at it. Using dr madd thrust 10 blade fan units.
Going to sound as good as it looks going by.

I used to love modding the hell out of gws kits, you did a fantastic job. How well does it fly?

thanks, i had allot of fun building it. running 1- 3cell 2200 mah battery. I glued the battery access closed on the bottom and re-cut around the panel lines on the canopy. lots of room now to place stuff...
oh and how does it fly...... not sure, issue with edf is what blows also sucks...... pulled a piece of string from about 3 feet away shearing off 2 blades and slicing through the nacelle. body work an repaint is done but hk is back ordered on the fans....

Up next is a bare white habu being turned into a redbull habu airbrushed out in blue and silver . Waterslide decals are already cut. Dan's edf motor 5 cell motor and 10 bladed fan. more into sound than speed but this should be a fun project.
