first rolling harrier

So I finally nailed my first rolling harrier. I've been practicing on the sim for a month or so now, and it finally happened. Started in a harrier down the runway, then started to roll, and before I knew it, I had made a complete circle. I got so excited I lost track of time and deadsticked it, just need to bolt a new gear on, and I'm good to go

IMHO,

The rolling harrier is the toughest maneuver in the book. Keep practicing so you steer it well.

actually, I almost got a complete circle in the opposite direction, but had to bail 3/4's of the way around, no it wasn't the edge, but I did finally maiden it on Thursday. I flew w/o the pump on it, died after about 5 min. every time, has sick power though and flies sweet, just gotta put the pump on

Re: first rolling harrier

Hello Everybody, Ive been simming for a few months now and learned to do Rolling Circles and some Harrier's. I havent got the pattern down well enough to do Rolling Harriers low, or havent grown big enough kahoona's

Went out a few weeks ago with my Katana and decided to Harrier it up.

Rolling harrier is my favorite manuever too! I think rolling harrier is the coolest manuever to do. Now just try to do the rolling loop!

rolling loops aren't to bad. I can do them on the sim (yeah i know, that doesnt mean anything) Its the same inputs as a rolling circle but to make the plane fly through the loop. It gets a little hairy though on the downline where you have to reduce throttle to slow down, but not to much as you will lose your authority.
You also want to make sure you fly all the way though it or else you'll go drilling for oil on the down line.

Rolling Loops !! GEEEZE You guys are hardcore.

Teach me Teach me.

Whats the trick when your coming on the downline of the Rolling Loop?

Are you speeding up the pattern ?

Is it taking maximum throw ?

Any info would be seriously helpful.

Thanks,

Van
