Well was surfing on craigslist a couple of weeks ago seeing what was selling in regards planes. Well so happens that i come across a pietenpol style plane. And on top of that he had it listed pretty cheap. So i figured what the hell ill take a trip out there and look at it. Only has 80hrs on the frame and engine. Steel tube frame has all the gauges just no transceiver or transponder. The plane has never been neglected. Only down side was it was missing the vertical stabilizer covers which could very easily be made. So we talked price and settled on $10000.

Getting all the paint to get ready to paint the engine cover and cowling this weekend and this is what she will look like.

I like it, looks like it'll be a kick to fly around. Does it have a small Continental, or some other type of engine?

Has a Subaru EA81

Also has and advanced timing on the ignition for a little more performance in flight.

Nice plane you have there! What you have appears to be a pietenpol with a GN-1 fuselage. They are wonderful flying birds.. Always wanted to build one with a c-85.. Here is my latest full scale adventure. 1997 built quad city challenger 2... Mine is the long wing version.. Very true little airplane..

I do like this plane but once i save some more money saved up i will be looking into a loehle P-40.
