My guess is that there is more clicking going on on this thread right now than anywhere else. How'd you like to be one of the advertisers up at the top of the page NOT getting any clicks of the mouse on your advertising? What I'm NOT seeing is somebody of authority jumping in here to put their finger on the bleeder that THEY caused! I'm scratchin' my bald little head over this one......

It's not that simple. There are liability issues here that make it impossible for me to allow volunteers to moderate the site any longer. There will be professional moderation.

While some users might make that sound like a bad thing, it's actually a good thing. Professional moderators can provide fair and impartial moderation of the site. That isn't going to hurt anybody.

That said, I do think we should take some time to review the rules and make sure they match the expectations of the people who visit here. I'm immediately suspending the new moderation system while we take a few days to revisit the rule set.

I'm also going to issue permanent bans to a small list of users SleepyC and I have determined should no longer have access to the site. My feeling is that if we get rid of one or two troublemakers there will be less felt need for more stringent moderation.

Your feedback is appreciated.
