If you did a range check by chance on any plane it could have put it in scan. It has happened to me. A rebind should fix you up

That's my whole problem now. I can't get the rx to bind to the tx. I've followed the manual to a T and the rx won't respond properly. the red light just stays on solid.

Crosspost, slightly different explanation, just answered:
For whatever reason, the link is incorrect.
1. SPC plug, either blank or powered, not inserted.
2. If separate power supply, is voltage correct and link correct?
3. Any upgrade made to either of the Module or Transceiver? both must be compatible.
Optima 6, 7 & 9 Ch Transceiver Update V2.02 07Oct11
(•Improved reboot and recovery methods after severe RF interference.) - Requires Module V3.01 and Aurora V1.07(2) +
4. During recent range test, the module button was depressed for t long and scan function enrtered.
This requires a fresh ID-Setup as below.
5. Initial set up was incorrect.
Most often caused by incorrect separation distance between transmitter & transceiver
. Optima Transceiver (RX) - Servo Move Slower Than Usual - then Rebind.
...(Switched between Normal <> Scan mode with power off before process completed or units were to close on set up).
. Optima Transceiver (RX) - Servo Wag & Jerky Servo Movements Reasons & Cure - Do Not Fly With This Condition.
(...includes when switching on some ESC) .
. Optima Transceiver (RX) - Servos Stepping - Battery pack (Power Supply) failing under load. (Recharge or get a better battery pack)
. Hitec AFHSS ID-Setup (Bind) Spectra Module V3.01(0), Optima Transceiver 6, 7 & 9ch V2.02(0)
& Minima Receivers
- quick reference.

Ok! Got it figured out! When I tried to link it up the blue light on the tx module was blinking. I found a manual for my optima 7 and it said that the red light should be blinking and to change it I needed to press the module button for 2 seconds. Ok now I got it figured out but why was the blue light blinking when I was in bind mode? I would like to know so that I won't do it on accident again and lose an evening of flying! Thanks a heap for all the help A T and Nogyro!

The blue binding light is for the non-telemetry receivers like the newer small 6-channels.

hers a good question . I have the A9 and bought another 60% L4 cub (21 foot wing) Anyways im told that I cant run multiple receiver's like others are able to do so with Spectrum recievers any reason why. Or what I should do I have a 50% edge that im running a smart fly comp 12 with one receiver but others are telling me with the cub I should at least have 4 recievers , And when I called Hitech the said no don't do it

Hitec says that the receivers range is reduced drastically with dual receivers. I don't know exactly why because Futaba and Spektrum/JR does not have this limitation.

Get an XPS module and two Nano receivers! You also won't have to worry about brownouts.

There is an issue with possible interference from the telemetry as under:
Optima Transceiver (RX) - Dual Redundant receivers - The first turned on after the Transmitter will be the recognised telemetry sender.
.. includes Service Bulletin 'Optima Series Receivers - Dual Receiver Warning & Dual Battery recommendations"

In a model the size of that cub, the transceivers can be well separated and doubt problems would then be experienced. Suggest a direct email to your local distributor to obtain more information from the designers would be in order.

With an 9X users will be able to use dual Maxima 9 with confidence except without telemetry

what about one maxima and one optima for telemetry?? Will the speed and resolution make surfaces move slightly differently?

separate question... will the 9X with the optima have increased resolution over the A9/ optima combination?

Aurora 9: Can someone tell me how to add a P-Mix, I assume, to get Expo on my Throttle?
Expo on the throttle is not available in the standard menu options so I guess it means a P-Mix....but what mix?
Throttle to what????'
Thanks-
