No, let me clarify. I'm not a fan of tinkering at the field on flying day. I'm a shut up and fly guy. I have heli and turbine experience so tinkering in the shop is a must.

I just hate to waste limited flying time on playing in the Pits. It gets really hot really fast in South Texas. By 9am it starts getting real uncomfortable in July. And did I mention I hate acid burning sweat into eyes?? LMAO

Thanks guys! Your awesome

Yay!!! All installed and test bumped! Smooth as a kitten!

Where are you guys mounting control starters on fw 190?

Also, this is the tightest I could get everything in, I didn't want to bang too hard on the one way and shaft bearings. Feedback ok.....

I could put spacers on the two motor brackets/extensions to get the motor gear more up, but wasn't sure if that would do anything to hinder it.

I just recently installed my electric starter to my DLE 55. It was very easy to install and pretty straight forward. I went ahead and bought the switch from Mile High RC. I started out using a 2200maH 3S Lipo battery to run the starter. I have it on my trainer switch of my Futaba 8J. When we got to the field and were ready to fire it, I flipped the switch and nothing happened. It would click but that's all. I tried several times with the switch and about every 5th or 6th time it would engage the starter. I used the same battery as some other people on the internet. After doing some research and emailing Mile High they said it was either a bad switch or the battery was too good. So I found a 1050maH 3S Lipo and now it works almost every time I hit the switch. There have only been a couple of times it needed a second hit to engage the starter. I recently brought this airplane to an event we had at our club and I could not believe the response it got. It is by far the best thing ive bought!
