Mounting small proflow

going to order a small proflow for my dle 35ra. Its going into a pilot extra 330sc 30cc. There is room for the can however no real tunnel to hold it secure. Wondering if others have done this and could share pics/advise.

thanks
ryan

Me too! I've got 1 on the way to put in an AW freestyle 260. I think I've got an idea that'll work but sure would be nice to hear and see how others have done it.

Dave "Planebender" set me up. Just gave him the amount of drop and the type of engine and he does the rest!

Here is how I put mine in my AW 260. Had to put hardwood blocks under the servo to raise it above the can.

so you literally just let it rest in there? Nothing really keeping firm in place?

Hard to see, but there is a pipe mount in there.

The screws on either side of the rx are holding the mount.

We make mounts for the Medium and Large Canisters but 2 1/4"OD is currently the smallest we make. You might be able to instead of using 1/8th" wall tubing perhaps use 1/4" wall silicone from McMaster Carr. Then our Trick Aluminum mount will work for you guys.

Would doubling up on some Tygon suffice or will the can get to hot and melt the tubing.

The Canister rides directly on the silicone so a thicker selection will be fine.

I got a rear dump. I would probably recommend it for you because the stinger on a front dump might come out in an inconvenient spot. besides the rear dumps are a hair lighter if I recall right. You need Planebender to chime in!

When using the Rear exhaust engine you will need a rear exit Canister as your exit will be very awkward trying to place the front exit tube. Leave the header as long as possible.
