you rock thanks for the comparison seems senseless to install a 70 when a 116 fits and all we got to do is move some batteries or servo aft to counter the weight

I talked to the gentleman flying his P3 V1 with a BME110 and he's is extremely happy with its performance and flying characteristics......I believe the BME110 has a 'slightly' smaller carb and intake block then the BME116 but not by much.
I have to agree with you regarding the choice between the twins.....at least that's what I'll be trying to install on mine unless something comes up that forces a reconsideration |

be nice to get some more info about how it flies with the extra 1.7lbs and how many ozs
less would CF landing gear be ? will there be a CF gear available? |

You could make your own CF gear or adopt a pilot or extreme flight gear to fit but don't look for a carbon gear for this airplane unless hangar 9 does it

The gentleman who's P3 V1 is shown in the earlier video is flying with the BME 110 which, if the information I found is correct, weighs just slightly less than a BME 116, and in discussions with him he was extremely pleased with its performance

Hi everyone new to flying giants but very glad I have joined as I have just bought the p3 revolution ! I fell in love with it's looks straight away and I saw one for sale on eBay as new in unopened bags but without box due to storage
At a bargain price of £375 , when I opened the wrapping I thought it must of been resealed because there were fingerprints all over the fuss scratches on the canopy and less than perfect covering it now seems he probably read this thread before me and just wanted rid of it! It does look great and I am going to build it as I have no choice as I have no purchase receipt, So keep posting guys I think I may need all the help I can get......and yet to decide on motor servos ect? Looking forward to the challenge (I think)!!! How very different to my extra H9 300 great quality. |

With time and some basic modelling skills, a lot of the issues with the model can be overcome. I remember building Complete a Pac builders kits, where not one part fitted and half the wood had to be replaced as it was unsuitable. modern modellers are pampered and have lost a lot of basic skills. As for engine, go big and heavy seems to be the way. |

DA 2/1 Header and modify fuse to fit canister, this was my plan b4 I returned it.... Im waiting on V2 to be shipped to me, once i have it i will size up the Header Drop and Canister. if you use the Jtech pipes, cut the pipe to 3/4 inch and use a high temp tube/clamp... similar to the DLE RA 35... this will minimize you Cowl cutting....

H9 P3 Revolution DA 70 and DA 60 pictures
I currently have the only V2 that I know of in the States....the gentleman who originally received it, checked it out and installed all the surfaces indicated that overall it was an excellent ARF, with only minor issues not worth mentioning.
I took some time and mounted up both the DA 70 twin and DA 60 single, as they both have the same mounting holes. As was indicated before you're really going to want to avoid standard mufflers for the DA-70, or any twin, as using them will require pretty hefty cutting out of that beautiful cowl |
