Day-Um. Too much thought is goin' on with the vid music thing. Great vid I repeat.

I voiced a thought on folks like me who would like to hear the engine.

No need to get upset because there are a few who would like to hear a 3W this displacement sing it's song.

Personally (I'm from GA) I like Lynard Skynard too but I don't care what music is playing on a plane Vid because I don't listen to any of it.

I'm too busy trying to hear the engine.

All Bull aside I wish more than most I could be at The Nall this year. Maybe see a plane of this caliber go through it's paces with someone like Snap on the sticks.

By the way, my 35%er seems like a little glow plane next to that thing.
Robert, just when I was starting to get comfortable with the plane the header broke but there is always another day.

I loved the vid. I'll get to hear that 342's sweet singing at the Nall at least, and hopefully at the OH Huckfest. It's good to be a volunteer pit beotch!

If the vid got you all excited to see the plane in action, make the road trips

I don't care if that Peanut Butter and Jelly song was playing in the background, the vids were great. Thanks Craig and Jim for taking the time to post them.

Elie, Gerhard may have the KS Flex header you are looking for, then again, I don't know for the 342. If you end up getting another aluminum one, don't cut and weld it, just heat and bend it to where you need it. Jim can help you, we did it with a set of aluminum headers I had.

You are right, John. Gerhard might help on that front. The KS, you could build them yourself, or see if Gerhard or KS could get a set made up with the flex in them. Or like John said warm up the new header, and "TWEAK" it some to get it where you need it.

I need to say this.........

BAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDD ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

Re: 60% BH EXTRA, HOW BIG IS TOO BIG ?

About the 3W headers, they are great in my opinion. I am a TIG welder of profession, and I TIG weld aluminum. There is no problem TIG welding the headers, and to make them stronger, you just dont grind the weld after welding. Leave it. But like someone said, you must clean the headers, there must be no oil in them, because the oil will make the weld full of small holes, and make it brake in the end, I guess you all know this.

If I had any chance of helping you Elie, I would fix them for you in no time, and taking the pressure off them giving them the correct angle for entering the canister. I have used some flexible pipes from the race car industry between the headers and the canisters, with great success. This will prevent them for breaking again in the future. I guess you should have no problem getting some flex pipes where you live. Split the ends up in a star pattern and use stainless hoseclamps to fit them to the headers and canisters.

Just an idea

Re: 60% BH EXTRA, HOW BIG IS TOO BIG ?

Thanks guys for all the ideas, I read what Tikka said about not grinding them after the welding and guess what, to make them look nice, we did grind them from the inside and outside, I could have went with standard mufflers and saved all the headaches but decided against because I wanted a friendly Giant to noise sensitive fields.

Hey Snap, how bout if you get a spare pair of flight batteries. Come down from a flight, pull batteries off of velcro quick release and slide in fresh...while flying again your second pair could be re-charging. Or just rig in an alternator and recharge while you fly.

On ignition you have lots of capacity there, no?

Then you need to get a ten gallon fuel tank to feed that hungry motor.
