Lol... It's ok Bam. Since the boss has us on lockdown, you'll probably finish way before me anyway.

OK, Here's a wee bit more on the profile. Finished the cap strips on the bottom of the left wing. Also, boxed in around the servo with sheeting to give the Monocote something to stick to... Next on to final sanding of the fuse. Hey Bam, You coming to Nall?

The wing above is finished except for covering, servo, servo arm and linkage. As you see it, it weighs 1.47Lb. With the addition of some covering, servo arm and linkage, maybe what, just a bit over 1.5Lb finished weight? I'm very curios to hear from others. If you have one of these, please weigh your finished wing and post it here. Thanks..

OK, while I'm talking about weight...
I weighed some other stuff:
(All parts are uncovered)

Two Ailerons .5Lb
Fuse 3.2 (with tailwheel)
Elevator/Rudder .35
Stab .20
Ig/Engine/Muff 3.4
Box of Misc parts 3.0
Wings 1.6ea (3.2)

Total 13.85Lb (?)

What am I forgetting besides covering? Ah, two flight pack batteries and Smart Fly. Weight, .39. Added to total makes it 14.24. Anything else?

* Box contains Gear, firewall, tank, fuel line, servo arms, hinges, control rod ends, control horns, CF linkages, wheels, nuts/bolts/screws,standoffs,receiver, ignition battery.

Morning Brian.
This one will use a new prototype called the "air prop". It weighs nothing, and has the performance of a Vess B. That's why I didn't list it. Um, yeah....... That's it, the air prop.. :-)

Ok, OK, I'll weigh the prop too. I've really not thought about the spinner. does it need one you think?

You know, there is one other thing I'm wondering about. Richard sells a single bolt prop adaptor. It moves the CG forward an inch or two. Wonder how many people use these, and if I'll need one? Richard, are you here?

Phil,

I've found that whatever I THINK my plane will weigh when I weigh everything separately, it ends up at least a pound heavier! Mine came in at about 17.5lbs and it floats like a kite filled with helium. Still has plenty of pullout with the DLE-55 / Xoar 23x8. I originally had two servos per aileron but removed one of them so that dropped the weight by about 5oz. If yours weighs less than 16lbs, you will never be able to land it without killing the engine!

Morning Roc.
I guess the main reason for using that would be to get more weight on the nose?
What all is involved in getting it to work?
