The only reason why we are not? Becasue they are not actively going on out and persuing it!!!

I think it is great that Kimball is protecting his plane and name.... I think All of them should.....

I wonder what the cost would be for a 100cc ARF made in USA with all the ROyalties paid??
I am not sure I could afford it???
K. Kimball ENt. has made some for QQ...Perhaps he would know??

Dont copy the COlor scheme, or the Internal Structure's of the planes and that should be just fine with me....

Be carefull what you wish for , you just might get it!!!
I heard Godfrey is going to build ARF's himself.

Re: Hangar 9 Pitts 12R "The Beast"

joking aside.....
It is a wonderfull looking plane....
I was hoping that some of the parts might work on the QQ python......As I am sure that
there are many that have that plane and would like to keep flying it even after a mishap.!!...
From the original pictures I thought it was a 50-75cc size plane....As it looked smaller than
the QQ python.... If some of the parts may work, I can only assume the size is about the same??

THere is a definate hole in the market for a 100cc aerobatic biplane, since the leaving of QQ aircraft comp.
NOt aware of any other than the PAU/BME ultimate biplane 100cc????

Re: Hangar 9 Pitts 12R "The Beast"

FYI, this plane is larger than Python! I am almost confident the cowl and canopy will be cross compatible with Python (unless these have changed recently that I am not aware of). Paint won't match but almost all of us can paint when push comes to shove

As for the scheme, I really think keeping it full scale is much better! We can always add our touches to the bottom of the wing with something brighter if visibility was an issue.

Full scale scheme on such a bird will present something way different than norm at the field I think!

Having a new scheme is something that they can also consider once the true market need is established I would think but that's my speculation only!

I am still enjoying flying my Python. I am redoing it with DA100L and RE2 pipes to get a new flavor of performance and do some testing for MTW. I was super happy with my DA100 and stock muffler but the RE2 will be different and hopefully even better!

Cheers,
Reza

When I think about the other scale biplanes out there. many 50cc's size, so It is something that
a 100cc biplane modeled after a full size comes to the market...

How has the balancing been on this one compared to the previous python??
WOnder how a heavier engine would balance..?? 110 or 116 evolution??

The really cool thing about a 100cc biplane is it has the same servo count as a 50cc biplane. The only place you might use more is on the rudder.
