Re: Genesis of the marathon thread.

has anyone tried those chinese bulbs? they come in strings of 50 to 100, and are either all one color or multi colored. only two problems with them. if one goes out, they all go out, and it's difficult to find the bad one.also, they are very difficult to get back into the container they come in. they are tiny, but add a certain wow factor when they start blinking.
i found that hey are rather easily tangled, so i'm going to stop using them on my plane. i think i'll just wrap them around my tree in the front yard instead.

They're a bunch of crap. What about the origional brands that started all this Phil Bulb's pro series were terrific as were Bulbline and all the rest of them.

I think Phil Bulbs went outta business as we speak....too many lockouts....at least their bulbs dont blink like some others i know.....sometime Bulbline and others would catch fire when ya tried ta charge em without their "Special" charger"(arent they special?)

the chinese bulbs were good for a time....used them on my house at christmas...(go figure?) but like with Bulbtaba bulbs, they all blink after a short time. It is the Rectum spectrum2.4ghz module based, but i ripped mine out after my mom crashed my sixth plane......watch out for those!
