A single bolt can't put unequal torque on a prop hub...

Backfire? from timing being off? Saw a DA100 start backwards last week. That might loosen a single bolt like a 4 stroker. Just askin!

They backed off. Torqued to 200 in. lbs. 300 in. lbs. didn't fix the situation....

Oh, the Mejzlik hub is not wood, but I don't belive it to be carbon either.

Description:

This is a 1/4 scale Balsa USA. The super cub cowl covers the engine well. No flight time yet but back yard taxing shows that it may be over powered, but that's what the throttle is for.

They run just as good as the V1.

Actually the original version seems to have a very slight edge in WOT power but the V2 idles super slow thanks in part to a different timing curve in the ignition module. The modules are interchangeable but the older versions module will raise the reliable idle speed about 250 RPM.

Re: DL-30 / DLE-30

Tell me about the timing curve..
The old C&H coud be set for either 20 or 26 degrees total advance, total advance at 4 or 6 thousand...I think..Is this one of those ?
AS to curve, I thouhgt it was linear...

Where did you get the muffler...I need a longer one for mine.

Oh...Im sure youll like the power Here is a vid of my maiden of WM 1/4 scale clipped wing. Had to do some hacking on the cowl but it looks ok. Still need to tune a bit more.

Re: DL-30 / DLE-30

Got a question for the engine guys on here.

I started out at 1 1/4 turns on the low and 2 turns on the high on the dle 30 on my cub. It was hard to start and would idle no lower than 2400 rpm....The rpm would only come down when I went to 1 3/4 turns on the low...needless to say thats pretty rich. What would cause this. The engine seems tighter than my other dle 30 was.

Maybe I should just get a gallon through it and retune?

Thanks

Don't worry about how far the needles are out, tune it so it runs correctly. If this one runs well at 2 turns out on the low, then that is where it should be. Don't go by turns, go by how it runs.
