Re: GW (Goldwing RC) airplanes

I received today RCExl onboard tachometer from DL engines australia. This tach uses ignition battery and ignition hall pickup to measure RPM.

Think Deitrich is in the process of changing owners. Maybe that causing a delay.

That is really nice. I need one of those. Do you have a link on it or where to get it?

Re: GW (Goldwing RC) airplanes

Went to the field today, great weather here at Malta but very coldAt least I was ok as this week a had a flue.I took the Yak 55M with me, manged to to 3 flights. This week I received and installed the secraft alu arms and I assure you that they are great.Installed also the 2x 1400mah A123 and the cowl.A bit nose heavy, not to my likings as I love them tail heavy. Now I will get some props to see whats the best.Im running it on a 22x10 and it's damm fast on the ground.I will also get a cf spinner and build a tray (maybe cf) for the battery's.I will also get an egnition cut off, better safe than sorry. For the cg I will add some wight in the tail.

All in all it flew great, now I began doing some manuvers with it,seems great but as I told you I've got the CG prob.IT came on 6.6kg dry, very light.Got some pics, check them out.Manged to take a short clip on the 3rd flight,I will post it this week

Johann, That looks like a nice airplane. Looks like you did a good job putting it together too.

Re: GW (Goldwing RC) airplanes

GW planes have been available now for a while in the UK and are gaining a great reputation.

It has amazed me how we have something in the UK that is doing really well, yet almost non existent in the USA. It is normally the other way round!!

I have a 50cc 55M and it is great, if you have a look at www.highalpha.org you will see a few build threads of the models.
