Aeroworks Pitts 50cc with Saito 60R3???

I have an Aeroworks Pitts 50cc that I am considering putting the Saito 60cc radial 3 cylinder gasser in.

My question is, are radials no good for aerobatic flying? or do people not use them because of the extra cost? Or is ther another reason they dont get used in aerobatic planes?

There's no reason it shouldn't have the grunt. It should easily fit under the cowl, and if i put the keleo ring on it like i was hoping to, it should sound awesome!

Any advice?

Cheers

They sound really good but they just don't have the power of a big 2 stroke single cylinder engine

I was afraid that might have been the case. I'm itching to put one in a plane, i guess I'll just have to get a nice scale plane to suit.

Might stickto the DLE 61 that i originally planned on.

Thanks.

The radial will fly it but it won't be unlimited power like the dle 61 will give
