Musta been the 108" Yak that was causing it
Ahhh, brings back memories....
Had a MVVS once, was a great motor when it would run (those times were rare, maybe it was user error??)
decided I got into flying to actually fly the plane and not stuff around with engines so I tossed it and bought a real engine..

Doesn't the mvvs 116 weigh more than a DA 170? Just asking! It's what I heard.

Cisco ...
The 116 weighs 3100 grams
The 170 weighs 3460 grams

Same benchmark prop however, 30x10, similar power output
To be fair, similar as a DA150
Price ... well, now we're in murky waters

MVVS 116 $1,299
DA 170 $1,899

Not enough christmas leave

Well, I have one more week till back to work and we are almost there!

Engine will be ready to fire this wed morning..

So far left to go...

.connect throttle linkage
.setup the manual choke
.meaure the throws - set rates
.minor sanding on the spinner cut outs
.charge and fly

Richo when Fi and I visited at DA, you converted us on the cheech and chong van...Picking up a 2008 VW LWB T5 2.5L from Albury tomorrow....Absolutely blew me away on how much power the mofo hasI havent laughed so hard in ages...So at least I have the rest of the week to get the compy cranking and the rear of the van decked out..

Anybody know of anyone chasing a model trailer in VGC to buy?

Ain't that a fact. My Touareg 180 4Xmotion was due to be delivered in December, have since been told it is due in Late Jan / Early Feb. This one's for "the missus" to replace her Jeep so she can tow a 3500 kg float around with confidence on reliability.

'course now that my planes are closer to 4m long (sorry - 3W powered but I am sure you guys will get over that fact) I will have to "borrow" the float to transport it. (Until she lets me trade the Transit for a LWB Van - still deciding which brand to get for that - toss up between the Sprinter and the VW).
