thanks stingray. i opted for the aluminum ones from tnt.
i was concerned with cf. i am not so much concerned with weight on this plane, i am more concerned with strength and durability. i think the aluminum ones should get me there.

they arrived today, they had to be manufactured, so it took 1 month, but they are finally here and they look strong, only time will tell, this will be the 4th set i have had to purchase. the first 2 were OEM, the third was the pilot CF that cost me over 120 bucks, and now, the TNT is the 4th one. it is the top one on the picture. it is made of aluminum.
i will make some measurements on weight for comparison and post soon.

the ones on bottom of picture, the original great planes composite landing gear weigh in at 1 pound 3 ounces.

the pilot carbon fiber landing gear weighs in at 10 ounces

the TNT aluminum landing gear weighs in at 1 pound 4 1/8 ounces

http://www.maxfordusa.com/nieuport-28ep40arf.aspx

it looks like that landing gear will not give.
your only hope is to change the wheels and put something on there like this:

http://shop.dubro.com/p/4-dia-big-wh...price_high_low

those are some dubro inflatable wheels

dont have that plane, but i know some about them,
also,

you can consider landing her one a well trimmed grass runway.

Well, if I can hit it every now and then, Tarmac. Sometimes I am not that lucky and end up in the ruff. What has happened is that the undercarriage breaks out, never broken a landing gear though.

the landing gear problem is solved, and it was solved by using the TNT landing gear. thanks TNT.
today i had two flights, and during 1st flight, i also did 3 touch and goes, in addition the landing, so all in all, there were 5 landings, and absolutely nothing happened to that aluminum!!!
