There are no clubs left in Florence....the nearest is an hour drive. The club we had dried up after the local hobby shop owner was killed in a full scale crash. There are still a half dozen or so guys in the immediate area that fly and we fly off a grass runway at a private full scale field. If you do move here I'm sure you can fly with us there.

Thanks for the response that's terrible about the club owner being killed, I think we are looking at late this week being in the area. To look at homes, one has ten acres maybe better look at downwind approaches..dan

Hey, Dan,

There is a club in Colbert county. We fly at a closed landfill with both a paved and grass runway.
The field had been closed for a few years but last fall was re-opened. we have a handful of fun loving fliers. You are welcome to check us out.
