Re: Giants From South Africa

I'm having a big interference problem on my rudder!
although its not really interference
As i move the rudder back and forth,every now and then the rudder twitces in the opposite direction or like flutters but when the stick is still,the rudder is fine.could it be my receiver?

And rael,what do i plug the choke into,one of the aux ports?

what tx you using jason? if you using a 2610, you might be a channel short for the choke servo.

A few ways around the choke servo.
could use a Y lead on the 2 elevator servos, then put choke servo into "Gear".
Downside being you would have to reverse one servo.

checked the video, only 10meg down loaded.

The Y-lead will work. However you can also use a Matchbox on the elevators. That way you can setup up the travel of each servo. I would say it is safer than a y-lead. the 2610 is limited but can be setup with a bit of extra gadgets

Hey Michael, good to have you here, been a while.
The match box would be the best way out in your situation Jason, with the 2610, if you still want to be able to choke from the tx.
Another way would be to use a y lead on the 2 aieleron servos, switch the flaeron mix off,
Mix elevator to flap, so you can still adjust travel and end points on the elevator. down side would be that you would have to do some mechanical trimming and adjustments should you want some differential on the ailerons.
What I would do with your extra,
Would use mix 4 on the 2610, elevator to Gear, inhibit the gear switch, normal 2 servo aileron setup and use a manual choke.

Welcome Michael

Glad to have someone from HRF here.

Please talk to the guys at your club about the 9th of Aug Giant Get-Together at PRF.
If the weather is too bad to fly we can shift it to the following Sunday the 12th.

Anybody is welcome, but would be nice if they have at least a 24% or if smaller then something with petrol.

Anybody here who can forward this to the guys at CRF?

Peter

I use a 2610 to control my 33% Extra.
Then again I use the weatronic receiver so I've got no channel problem.
1x throttle
1x rudder -> 2x servos
1x elevator -> 2x servos
1x left wing -> 2x servos
1x right wing -> 2x servos
1x throttle cut

Don't need choke because the ignition auto-chokes. What would be nice is smoke, but I guess I'll do that once I've got my 12x (from Graupner and not from JR)
