Soooooo looks like 8 oclock at the diner on Saturday ?
Just wondering here, but I think Andy committed some AMA sponsorship $$ to the event. If you didn't get it let me know and I'll touch base with him for you. they didn't sign up as pilots because they didn't fly.
i can tell you, they were very impressed with the event

AS FOR THE AMA YOU DONT EVEN KNOW HOW GREAT OF AN IMPRESSION YOU AS A CLUB MADE ON THEM. I THINK YOU SHOULD LOOK AT THEM AS JOFO. JUST ANOTHER .....OBSERVER. THEY WATCHED AND TOOK NOTES. IT DOESNT GET MUCH BETTER THAN WHAT THEY SAW. FROM THEIR LIPS TO MY EARS !
We see Andy & the AMA crew at several events throughout the year. District 1 AMA supports Giant Scale and 3D flying, and they were truly impressed with the turnout, membership, and leadership of the 3D Fest.

Yes, we talked about it. I've spoken to Andy many times, great guy. I can only hope that they enjoyed our event and hopefully they will return next year.

I am so happy that I went to your event. Beautiful location and it was so low key with some of the nicest people in the hobby. Fantastic dinner on Saturday. It doesn't get any better. Thanks to all.

I also talked with Andy and the AMA crew for quite a while.
They had nothing but positive comments about the event.. see Carl's posts. Great guys.
They took tons of photos, and I heard comments about this being THE Event of the year for our District.
I hope that we see a great write up on it... I'll bet that we do..

On another note.. go to their event this weekend and at the end of the day they will be impressed with the quality people that call themselves GMRF... Where is the backup field, if/when the track is no longer available?

Scotty, Alan did post a Decathlons Video.

Gotta tell you guys, I live 3:15 minutes away and I'm proud to say that I am a GMRF.
My green shirts speak for themselves, great club, awesome people.!

I guess I'll get over it, not like it mattered. The event was a huge success no matter how you look at it. cann't thank the membership enough for all the help.

Scotty, Au Contrare. I signed up, paid my 20 bucks (and 10 for the dinner) and flew Saturday morning, not to mention promoted the chit out of the event.
