Any good pilot knows you don't do that with a Corsair because of their tip stall issues. What was he thinking???? Oh, wait!!! I forgot!!! The ink had not dried on his sign off sheet. Don't people know that you have too work your way up to planes like this??? I just don't get these pilots with the flown one, flown them all mentality...

Watch again Mike,he didn't pull full up right before touchdown,he dived it into the ground,it was the bounce that sent it back airborne.

You're right Jeff. It is hard to catch as a guy is standing in the way but he drove it right into the ground, bounced it up, stalled it and then it was game over.

Either way, result was the same, still a doofus.Maybe install a huge catch net they can just fly into instead of trying to land I think it was game over when the wheels first left the ground.

Am I the only person on a maiden who take off, trims, and then spends the rest of the flight getting used to the approach and landing? *** are these people thinking? Every plane can fly in a circle, work on the landing, and don't try and touch down on the first attempt. the glue must have gotten to his brain.

That's what I do. After a few flybys to get a feel for it...

After trimming, I always take a new plane up high and do a couple stall tests: see what she does with full elevator and idle power, or just above idle...gives you a good idea what to expect on a landing approach as well

About 30-50 meters more to the right somewhere in the air in that picture.

Ouch, sorry for your loss, need a shovel to get the engine out the way it looks. Did you at least get to do something really spectacular that tore the tail off to make a great story??

As you can see in the 2nd picture, I am not using the standard wings. I made 3D wings for this airplane which were stronger, lighter and had bigger ailerons with a bigger deflection. The rollrate was just insane. It was a absolute 3D beast with these wings, but it was to much for the fuselage.
I came in with full throttle and made a very fast snap on full ailerons, it just snapped the tail of just in front of the rudder/elevators.

Wow, pic one looks like a hell of a bird strike, seriously where'd it go?! Usually that part only disappears after you spank the ground!
