Adrian:

I have a simple request. On the day you change you avatar, can you post the full size pic along with it? My eye sights are going bad trying to squint to make out the details. It is a definite health hazard getting your eyes 2inched from the screen. However, no matter how close I get or how hard I squint, I still can't make out the details.

That was what I was thinking that they use them on the race planes. I just wasn't sure about it. I thank you guys for the information. It was only a question I had.

Yes go www.bolly.com.au there you can buy one and try to download the bolly book. it gives some info. but the idea is true dont forget when a prop turns it becomes like a rotataing disk which can act as a barrier or a break!!

Re: ONE BLADE PROP!!!!

this another good explanation - The reason we use two-blade props is efficiency! In fact, a one-blade prop would be better than a two-blade. Because prop blades operate in the wash of the blade ahead of them in the arc, the more blades you have, the closer they are to one another and the less efficient they are at turning torque and rpm into thrust.
