Powerbox Royal Servo Matching

Have my 1st powerbox royal and when setting up the matching on the match channels I am not getting an AMP reading? When I select a channel (A as an example) and then select a servo (2 as an example) I can hear the servo buzzing as it fights the other servo but the AMP reading is 0.0? I would expect this to show the draw on Servo 2 and I would balance this down to 0.0 with the +/- on the programmer.

I can hook an in-line load meter and see it's drawing .60 amps and can tune it to 0.0 that way, but I would think the unit should show this so I don't have to do that.

Am I missing something? Is there a problem with the unit? Everything else seems to be working as designed.

Thanks in advance.

I'll have to check mine but I don't think it's designed to work that way. I think it's set-up to act as a data recorder or "black box". It records the highest amp draw of the previous flight.

If I am not mistaken, in the setup mode it should show individual amp draw. It has been a while since I have used the powerbox royal but I do seem to remember it having this feature.

John, is Jaise moving up to intermediate?? Sorry if I got the spelling on his name wrong, but if he moves up I might have to fly advanced. I do not want to fly against both him and Geoff D! Hope you guy's had a good winter.

Hi Chuck,
Yes, Jase is moving up to intermediate for a couple contests. He says he might move up again to advanced a little later in the season. Im not sure how many IMAC contests we'll make though, we are planning to make Nall this year which will cut into our IMAC fund. It was a nice winter, not much shoveling which made it even better I'm happy Spring is here though!

Were you able to look at yours to see if it shows a draw?

...mine does not read the real time amp draw either. What it does is read the highest draw reached during your last flight. So, in order to read actual draw for setting up multiple servo's on a single surface, you will need to use an in-line meter. ...unless I'm doing something wrong You might want to call the folks at Duralite Flight Systems. They are very helpful and can give you all the spec's and info you need Ph. (250)652-6660
