12S/2P 8000's - looks like something a whole lot bigger than 80". I'm guessing 40%.

A couple of weekends ago I drove up to Venice Florida to see what was going on at the FG sponsored Huck Fest. The spectator attendance was very impressive, I would estimate several hundred. It's a very nice facility with more than adequate provisions for food, beverages and sanitary facilities. It was Saturday and there were 17 fliers. Why would this event be so poorly attended by a group of pilots that have over ninety thousand posts in their dedicated thread? What did the event organizers do wrong?

Part of the problem was the date. I saw quite a few RC people at Sun-N-Fun for example, I think there was an IMAC event as well.

Horrible date for one thing. IMAC contest was just north of you guys and was planned way ahead. Also Sun N Fun was that same weekend. Also I might add it was Spring Break time and hotel prices sky rocket during those weeks. I know they reserved a few hotels, but a lot of us rather just get our own hotel of our choice.

.......and you will LOVE soldering Dean's connectors. The 'couplers' are only necessary for the heavier gauge leads but they are 'butter'................too much heat sink from a Deans and 18 AWG and heavier stranded wire for a 20watt Weller pen. Gotta give you A LOT of credit for doing it with that gear...........a dedicated modeller!
