bolted the aileron servos into the phenolic plates and installed the turnbuckles and ball links, Man am I glad I found the turnbuckles, makes linkages so much easier to setup.

Extra I have tried to flex this tail wheel and I cannot.
seems to be pretty solid in construction.

It is a Pete's models tailwheel, Called Ray and he told me that Pete recently started to add more carbon to take care of this problem so we will see.
I will most likely make a cradle to support the tail while transporting.

Re: Composite-ARF Extra 260 3m Build

how would you mount the tailwheel, with just two 4-40 screws or would you use four 4-40?
Ray told me just two but the rounded bottom of the fuse I just don't know I thought about using three with two up front and 1 in the rear.

I istalled the aileron servo tray in the wing and to my dismay I cannot use the 1.5" servo arms, they just barely protrude through the wing skin about a quarter of an inch SHI^ I tried to order some 2" swb servo arms from Don's Hobbies but they are out of the 2" so I ordered 4-2" doubles from tower, I will have to cut one side off but I think that this will not be a problem, I hope the elevator arms are going to be long enough.

well the elevators are long enough and all I need to do to finish the elevators is plug them into the rx and get everything centered.Talk about a tedious task, mounting the outer servo you have to trim 3/16's of an inch top and bottm of the outside servo hole to get the servo to fit. Then you need an extremely long screw driver to mount everything. I was thinking about not to use two servo's but I will see how they work out. for some reason they installed the outer control horns a little two high imo, I will work them with the radio to see if they cause problems with one another.

I have 1.5" arms on mine, they should work. Everyone I know flying the 260, is now using one servo per elevator half. I have JR 8711's on my elevators and have had no issues.

eagle the outer control arms are supposed to be a little longer to allow for the taper in the elevator and you will find the same thing on the wings.

I know this but I am not talking about measurement wise I am talking about if you look at the elev. from the root end the outer control horn is almost 1/4 higher than the inner control horn as far as the ball link mounting hole goes, I don't know about your plane but you can look at my wings at the root end on the 2.6m and they are exactly the same height as far as the mounting hole go.
