dent in tru-turn spinner
hi all i have a 4 inch tru-turn at-6 style spinner that suffered a ground strike due to a nose over and it put a quarter sized dent in the dome of the spinner. is it safe to run the spinner the way it is if i make sure it is re ballanced?

I had an aluminum spinner, not tru-turn, come off during a flight and got bent at the cut out for the prop when it hit the ground. The bend wasn't that bad so I bent it back straight and reinstalled it back on the engine. It apparently developed a crack after several flights and broke during the last flight which caused the engine to vibrate violently and shook the plane bad enough to cause my rudder became dislodged while pieces of the spinner ripped through the fuselage. I didn't make it back to the runway. Lesson learned for me. If in doubt send it in for inspection.
