Sorry, I dont have any pictures, but if you're having trouble with finding space for the tank, I reccomend converting a water bottle into the smoke tank. I did that for a different 100cc, and it works great!

Anybody do cans in the 100cc version yet? This is one i'm putting together for my buddy. Had to relocate the throttle and choke servos as there was no way i could see to get them to work in the stock location.

Now that they have been around for a while, what is the best cg location for imac?

I did the can setup on my Yaks. My headers were longer so I was able to leave the throttle servo in the same location. The choke servo was removed because the header on that side ran right into the servo and push rod, so I just manually turned the choke on and off.
For the CG, start around the center of the wing tube and work from there. Thats where mine is and its good for IMAC.

nalby,
A DA-50 will pull it just fine. Not a lot of punch out of hover, but not bad. Build it as light as you can. It will be tail heavy, so put as much gear forward as possible. I've got a cheap flex header on mine and a K&S 86 rear dump cannister. 7955s are plenty of servo. Don't remember my extension lengths, sorry. Enjoy.

Just finished my 50cc Yak55. I used a DA60 with a K&S canister. I put the battery all the way up front ( half way over the firewall with a shelf) and used just behind the wing tube for initial CG. It flew fantastic, but is nose heavy so I will move the battery back. When I built mine I used 7955TGs with (2) 24" extensions for elevator servos, (2) 12" for ailerons (3) 6" extensions (1 for throttle servo, and 2 for aileron servos into receiver). Hope that helps. The choke setup for the DA60 took a while to work out.

Yes, the Yaks are great flying airplanes. Now you have the latest version with the hardware packs included, pilot, and spinner.

Have fun, post pictures!

Hi Bill

I am looking at getting a 100cc Yak 55. Do they now come with instruction manual? Also, since what date are the pilot and CF spinner included?

Cheers

Eddie

No instructions. But none needed .Everything bolts together. All the new ones have carbon fiber parts as well as full hardware kits. I have 5 of bills planes now and intend on getting more.
