RAbbit Dry Lake Practice Weekend
I thought I would share some pics and vids from our most recent practice session at Rabbit Dry Lake last weekend.
Hosted by the Wreckless Racing Team, a great turn out with a mix of new and seasoned pilots/crews/aircraft. The purpose of this session was to wring out the bugs on the new planes, try new configs on the old planes and help the new pilots dial in their planes and racing technique. We set up pylons and flew Saturday from 7am to 7pm. Friday and Sunday saw limited flying due to the rather strong and gusting winds. Some stats from the weekend: 10 pilots, 3 of them new to USRA 65 year age spread from oldest to youngest pilot 15 planes, 3 of them new builds for Sportsman, F1 and Unlimited classes 3 states represented (CA, AZ, UT) This was a great event and we are thinking about having another one in Winslow, AZ prior to the October Race of Champions. Want to find out more about the Unlimited Scale Racing Association (USRA)? Check out the Facebook page or the organization website.
