Saito FG-11

I'm getting ready to install a Gas Saito FG-11 in my Kadet Senior Sport. Is it necessary to install the plastic wrap around the braided Spark Plug wire if it is not chafing on anything.

Thanks

Rich

Thanks and I'll post over there but shouldn't this question apply to DLE engines or actually any gas engine.

The wrap gives the wire some rigidity. If you look at the wire while the engine is running with out the wrap you will see the wire vibrates and that is bending and that means it could break at some point or another. with the wrap it moves much less. So yes I think you should use the wrap it only takes a minute to put on and it might save the plane.
