Seagull AT6 Texan 1.20

Hi

I am looking to buy one of these new texans that seagull just came out with !

http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...20-arf-SEA3550

What would be a better engine choice for this model the Satio 30 Gas 4 stroke or a DLE 30 ?

http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...ine-at-SAIEG30

I could not tell a significant difference in sound between the two and the saito costs $300 more.

Does anybody now of somebody who makes a bigger AT6 Texan or T34 ARF, I would really like a bigger model but nobody offers one that I know of ?

Thanks Scott

I have bought a a couple Seagul models and was less than remotely satisfied. I would kinda look around and see what else one may find. Does Topflight still make the AT-6???

Top Flite only makes a 60 size Texan and unfortunaetly that is big enough for my taste.

I have seen other modelers with Seagull Products and they looked fairly well built. I think if somebody would offer either a Texan or Mentor in the 50cc and larger market there would be a some possible takers IMHO !

Thanks Scott

Here's a 50cc one from KMP. I think they're the same as the ESM planes. Just re-branded. I've seen some of these planes up close and the quality and finish is really nice.

SG models are built very heavy and fly that way as well. They are really fragile to be so heavy. They do look good but thats about it. ESM would be a good option.

+1 I have the, Nemesis by Seagull. Total pig, and the glue job is sub par also. The canopy and one of the aileron servo mounts let loose in the first 4 flights. A piss poor factory glue job.

I have a Space walker and it will not stay together either. The sheeting is so thin it just breaks upon touching it. It is only good for wall hanging. It flies horrible and it is no fun at all.

I didn't know any better when I bought it from the LHS, but that plane is what got me here on this forum. After hanging out here for a while, you start to see the light.

Yup I also picked mine up at the LHS. It does look great from the outside, but that is about it. I believe I would find a different warbird model if SG was the only supplier of the one I wanted.
