If DLE does make a 60 twin...I hope they use the way Zenoah did the 80cc twin inside! Capt,n

I get one spark just when i plug in the battery to the ignition but no spark when turning the prop.

I guess there is something wrong with the ignition, but is there anything i could try to do before i send it back ?
Ignition is RCEXL and i have tried both 4,8V and 6 volt battery.
I do not know if it would help....try a new pick-up sensor & all connectors inside for a bent pin!

The sensor is bad or incorrectly installed...
4.8 is good, don't go over 6.000000000000000000 volts with a fully charged battery..6.000000000000000000000000

Re: DL-30 / DLE-30

OK, Thanks for the quick answers!
I have carefully inspected the sensor and its connectors and there is nothing wrong that can be seen.
And yes I will be careful not to go over 6,00000 volts
I let the battery sit for some time after charging before i plug it in to the ignition if i use a 6 volt.

Re: DL-30 / DLE-30

I found the problem. It is like the sensor is to long towards the prop so it misses the magnet. When i removed the screws and backed the sensor away from the prop it works.

Now why is it like this..? Have i got the wrong sensor or are the mounting holes drilled wrong ?

It's just the wrong sensor housing, if you can pick the wedge out that holds the sensor into the housing you can slide it back within the housing to line up with the magnet then reinstall the wedge.

Thank you very much !
I did like you described, the sensor was very hard to move so i had to cut the housing a bit open but it will work until i can get a new one.

No real reason to change oils. You're using one of the good ones now. The ratio is fine. Why change what works?

No I agree, its working well, I will stick with it. I was curious if going to a different oil ratio could get me a bit more power...and the common theory I hear is break it in on non synthetic, then switch to synthetic...hence the questions. But the more I read, the more I think I'll just stick with what I have and hope a switch to the Xoar 19 3DA will give me that little extra boost in power I need.

Still trying to adapt the new rear carb of the DLE-30, this is going to be a real issue adjusting after it is mounted. Oh well. I will keep drilling................

I received the rear carb upgrade and will attempt to install this as soon as I figure out the "hole" I need to cut for it to fit in my SBACH. Not sure how this is going to work out. Seems I will need to build up the firewall a bit.
Well I hope the new reed valves and carb make a real difference in this engine.
Rich get a gasket set for the carb it sounds like you are having the same problem that i did. The gaskets can be bought at any lawnmower shop. The part number is Walbro D10-WAT.
