Need help- 2.4 conversion to 10X

Ok. Read the instructions and all went well until the bind process. I am running 2 Fromeco batts and 2 fromeco regs with blue lights. Each one are going through MPI switches. The switches have deans connectors. I tried to bind through the charge port on the switch, but no lights blinked on both the main rec and the remote rec. I then disconnected one of the batts and plugged straight into the main rec with the bind plug. That all seems to work fine, however when I turn off one switch, the assocciated reg light (blue) stays illuminated. Im confused at this point! Does this mean both batts and both regs are still on if I have one switch off??? Please help.

Also, I plugged the second batt into the flight log data recorder port. Is that ok or should I use an open port like Aux 4?

IF YOU ARE TALKING THE LED'S ON YOUR REGS.THE LIGHT IS POWERED ON BY THE VOLTAGE IN REVERSE FROM THE SWITCH THAT IS STILL ON.YOU HAVE BATTERY,SWITCH,REG,RECIVER.WHEN THE POWER IS ON AT ONE SWITCH BUT NOT THE OTHER ONE IT STILL POWERS THE OTHER REG THRU THE RECIVER IN REVERSE.I HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE TO YOU BUT IT MEANS THAT IS NORMAL

I would not plug it to the data recorder. Use an open channel like you said yourself Aux4.

BTW, you did the right thing for binding! I'm not sure about the Fromeco lights!

I also forgot to tell you that you are going to love that module. I just set mine up and won't take it off ever.

Everything feels solid! If you are using AR9000 please check the service bulletin on Horizon website http://www.horizonhobby.com/Articles...ArticleID=1709

I have not modified mine yet but I will soon. If you mount the receiver the right way you should not have any problems but doing the mod takes 10 minutes so why not just doing it anyways.

Good Luck,
Reza

Thank you bro's. Sounds like I got it right then with the exception of switching the second battery to the Aux 4 port. Thanks again!!!

Well, this may be the stupidest question, but ive gotta ask it.... I noticed that the receiver voltage range is 3.5-9V DC. Because I have 2 Fromeco 5200's regulated to 6V each, does this mean I have 12V or 6V going through the receiver? I know its stupid, but I wasnt sure.

There are no stupid questions in my book. That means receiver operates as long as your power system provides minimum 3.5volt and not exceeding 9 volt.

In your case you still have 6 volt going through the receiver which is perfectly fine. If your voltage drops (Very very unlikely) under 3.5v then your receiver won't be able to process the signal.

Regards,
Reza
