RCGF 55 cc First Look

For those of you that have been waiting to see the new RCGF 55 cc here is your chance. Just received one and the engine looks great. Fantastic machining on the case and a quality cast cylinder give this engine a great look. I'll be dissecting this beast and testing it so look out here for the numbers and video for this latest offering from Ron at www.southeastrcengines.com . My plans are to mount this engine in the same plane I mounted, and tested, the RCGF 62 cc in so you'll be able to make first hand comparisons. Keep in mind that, for a very limited time, Ron is selling these engines for $249.00. The supply, at that price, is limited so you might want to jump on one before the price goes up. This engine will also be offered as a package deal with Aztech Aeromodels, www.aztech-aero.com, 50 cc planes.

It should, just think of this as a DLE 55 with the machined case everyone begged for. Of course at a much lower price.

I am gonna order one for my beater GP edge, at that price it's only gonna take a dirt nap the way I treat the plane. not to get off topic but I have not been able to get that airframe to fail, and I have tried. to high of wing load for 3-d but makes a good heli.

1550 Grams with the muffler and EI. Shouldn't be too bad.

no the GPedge in general, not much wing to work with, would be great if I could get 4-5 pound out of her.

I've got the GP 27% CAP 232 and it loves an engine this size.

right now I am flying it on an old Quadra 42, so that would be 2lbs saved right there. it's a done deal I am gonna try the motor

I only see in the oil rec. 32:1 is that it or are they allowing to lean out after breakin, I run Stihl HP 50:1 in everything I run

Call Ron and talk to him about the oil. Personally I only run Belray H1R at 40:1. The 32:1 is for break in only. Also be sure and come back and tell us what you think of the engine.

I just ordered one Like 5 min ago. It will be my first gasser so I will report back from that stand point. Also will my first experience with Ron. I know I bothered him to death with questions.
