Was yours the one that got smashed into millions of pieces with the wing tube on the picnic table?

The regulator is for the reciever.

My question was if I could use the smartfly ignition cut off in combination with the maxamps 1550 single cell battery for ignition?

ps. do you guys think that the 2cell 2170mah lipo is enough to power the receiver+6 servo's?

I've ran mine that way for about a year... all Hitec 5985 servos, running off of one 2-cell lipo through a regulator. And a NiCad for the motor, no regulator, just a smart-fly ignition cutoff and charge switch.
No problems at all.

Any suggestions where to get the Smart-fly ignition cutoff? Smart-fly itself seems to be out of stock. TBM charges $8.95 for UPS ground. That's way too much for something that small.

Donald's Hobby Center

Chief Aircraft

Not sure what shipping would be to TX though.

I recommend Donalds personally. He's a great guy to deal with and I almost use him exclusively for high end digital servos. I bought my SF Ignition Kill from him as well.

Sweet! Thank you, guys. They are in TX and I will have to pay taxes, but still cheaper than TBM in the end.

A little more progress. Really, this plane is so easy to assemble that there isn't much to show that nobody hasn't seen before.
Stab/elevators are ready to mount, one wing is hinged and ready for the servo. Got the other wing and rudder to hinge. Got the servos in the mail yesterday. Brillelli said I should be getting the engine next week. Man, it's been a month since I ordered. Glad I am not in a hurry.

Not sure if I can find the info in the manual, but what size of spinner are you guys using? And, what spinner brand should I get that will fit a Mejzlik 20x10?

I think A 20 x10 is goin to be to fast on the Yak.. My friend has the B46 and a 21x8 Xoar on his H9 Extra 260 and its a sweet!! I would think that would be the size your gonna want. I think for the spinner I have a 3.5" tru turn with a lightened backplate. I dont have it here to look at. Ill also be using a 21x8 Xoar on my B46 powered 74" Yak!!
It takes some time to make your own engines by hand. I think Scott said they were out of parts, both him and Poulan.. SO it should be soon. Believe me I have the B26ssr and it screams on a 16x8 Mejzlik. It will be worth the wait!

Cya,
Frank

Thank you for the info, bro. Yes, Scott said they got a shipment of parts just in. Hell, yeah, I know the wait is well worth it.

Marcelo, if you want to try a 21X8 before you buy one, you can use the one i had on my Ultimate. Remind me next time we're at the field. If you like it I'll sell it to you

Re: EF Yak 74" & Brillelli 46GT

I added a battery tray to mine, extending from the current location (behind the rudder servo) all the way back to the next former. I'm going to start sliding the weight back until it bites me.. then hopefully move it back forward just a tad. I had it balanced at the factory CG forver, then added about 1 1/2 ounces to the tail last week... hardly noticed any difference at all. This new tray should let me get in as much trouble as I care to.
