It's just a thin piece of ply with six holes in it but man does it save on that little problem we all have of ending up with them in our pockets and then the dresser He even covered it with green and black stripes. The best part is, even though he added the inside tray/cover, he removed unnecessary structure that it replaced to equal any added weight. We are talking ounces here but still.

Now, if anyone is considering having Plane Bender Products do your build, don't think you are going to get the special treatment I did, because I'm special I'll have it at Nall if anyone wants to see the awesome details.

if i happen to show up ill wring it out for you!

I love that your so modest...lol just kidding. I do feel a bit left out though. Either way it looks killer, anything that Dave does he does right. Thats just how he is, hes a great dude and an awesome modeler. I wish you many happy flights with your new ride Father Don. Enjoy it, she sure is a looker!![/QUOTE]

Yea, I was considering just hanging it from our high livingroom ceiling as a static model. Upsidedown without the canopy of course. I'm seriously not sure if sitting in my easy chair while watching tv and looking up to see this plane would be as good as flying it. I'm kidding of course. I'm going to fly the bag out of it to see how good a build Sir Dave did. It's my third build from him so I have pretty good idea.

I tried my Mintor 38 today. Vess 19B. Stock muffler was 7550. Pro Flow was 7800. I have a Vess 20A and Falcon 20X8 on the way also to try out. No thrust numbers until I get my plane to put the engine in.

mintor 38 with stock muffler.MTS (0 min 46 sec)

mintor 38 with pro flow.MTS (0 min 43 sec)

pro flow swag!!!!!

neat that the pro flow bumped up the rpm

ill be interested in those falcon prop results. I have a falcon 23x9 to try on my dle 55. The sticklers at my club say the prop os the only thing keeping it from bieng "a quiet airplane". Sure, whatever they say lol.

i have a fellow older club member that bought a PRC yak and a dle 30. i tried to convince him to get a pro flow because that b1tch is loud! Aparently engine tested at 84 db and was called "quiet". he has a zoar woodie and stock mufflers. Im like bull you know what the 30 is like the loudest gasser on the market let alone with stock muffs and a zoar woodie. But aparently he got a CF or fiberglass prop (he does not know (this is the kinda thing im talking about with these guys not really knowing what they are doing with gassers)) and its quieter now. Whatever ll go with it i just told him that he should get a small pro flow and be the happiest guy around. i doubqt he will bauy one but i do like making those sales pitches to members about great products!

sorry for the mini tbob rant

hmmm. I was gunning for a build thread on that extra. Not much activity on that plane it seems. Peak edge looks nice though, should be a great plane.

What do you want to know? I've been flying one since they were released... I have over 1,000 flights on it.
