Hire a top engineer and architect to design me a small modest 1300 sqft bomb, bullet, hurricane, tornado proof home on a adjacent property free and clear.. Hire Realtor to find me a large acreage plot of land surrounded by national forest, so as to have no neighbors to complain about noise etc... Build the biggest retail outlet hobby shop gun store in South Carolina. To sell every sporting good known to man. Will sell everything from golf carts , atv's boats, guns, planes , camping fishing, hobby stuff , including a large standing inventory of 35% and up RC airplanes with turn key planes available. Build the best 1000 yard outdoor gun range and rent machine guns to those who pass my introductory coarse. on the other side of property will be the grandest RC club with full amenities. Membership $200.00 adults $ 25.00 under 18 with weekend lodging and warehouse storage ,public workshop. Thats when the lawyers earn their pay. I would invest 50% of all funds to get this started. And pray like hell it took - off to the point that I employ some good people to work hand in hand with me. I will work until I die, thats for sure. I will randomly vist different churches on sundays, and if I'm made to feel welcome, I will leave a Cashiers check for $5000.oo

I think If I won that amount I would go on as I am and now one would know other than having a few things like new truck and trailer and build a new house. other than that I wold invest and go on having fun and leave as much as I can to my family after I am gone. yea yea yea I might have a few more toys but you get the idea. its attually proven that like 75% or more of the instant millionaires will file bankrupt before they die.. that is why I want to to kinda keep it simple. make it last.. and the houese would only be 3000 3500 square feet tops.

Add it to the meager sum I have (which is nowhere in Elie's caliber) bail out to a vacation and hide from the vulture's till I figure out what I want to do.

Sad story is that I'd have to move a long way from home to make $10m useful... Check out the price of real luxury in the area I live in. That's UK currency too, so multiply by 1.6 for a $ figure. You'd need to win ten times over to buy the most expensive house round here

I would pay good 'ol Uncle Sam his 40%, take about $2M and put it in low risk bonds and annuities, just to make sure I'd never work again, then I'd take the other $4M, pay off the house and other debts, then just try to enjoy life for a while. Nothing extravagant, just no more quotas and sales meetings for the rest of my life.

Think I would take the $10,000,000, pay the taxes, put money aside for my son and neices and nephews to go to college, build me a little beach house somewhere warm (with a paved landing strip of course). I'd be perfectly content to just fly and fish everyday till I died.
