I look at the plane as a whole. Mainly towards the center of the plane, a little closer to the nose vs. tail. Canopy area. This gives you a general view of the entire plane which allows you to correct easier.

Heres a pic that you can see the general area that I look.

I don't look at the plane. I fix my eyes at a point in front of me, then try to keep the plane in my field of view. Works every time, and I'm getting quite sufficient at 3" off the ground hovers. Need to work on spinning the plane while in a hover though....

I dont really know what I look at but I know I dont really look at any one place on the plane. Kinda just looking at the whole thing but sometimes glance at the rudder when touching the tail.

I look at the plane as a whole on axis, unless I'm belly in then I look at the nose. If the nose goes left so shall my thumb. It is easier for me to see slight changes when my plane low and close the down side is I drag my rudder on the ground. The two pics are what s left of my wildhare rudder and a year of abuse, but she keeps on flyin.
