Another Flight Line at Triple Tree

I hope this does not turn into a debate regardingflying styles. Hopefully this can be a productive discussion.

Years ago Triple Tree had one flight line. The 3Dflying was stopping the pattern so the 3D line was created. Now TT has an electric line, main line, pond and heli line all for the famous Joe Nall eventand all great.

The last few years a new style of flying has emerged, ahigh speed high energy style. Not the same as low and slow 3D post stalledstate of flying. Each year now thereseems to be some kind of altercation that involves the two flying styles tryingto mix and share the flying space.

Do you think if TT had the space it would be advantageous to include another flight line for the high energy style flying? Of course we already have more than we could ever hope for from TT and Mr. Pat but I am wondering if this is wanted or even possible.

The 3D line works perfectly with the high energy maneuvers just as long you keep a pattern going.... And your spotter is focusing on other airplanes and not your own.... I would hate to see it split because I do a mix of both 3D flying and high energy flying....
It's not a free for all you have to have a pattern going.

Very good points "as long you keep a pattern going"and the biggest "spotter is focusing on other airplanes and not your own"seen this many times!!!! There is no problem with the highspeed as long as it is not towards the crowd and burning the worms, but the main thing is: SHOW SOME CONSIDERATION OF THE OTHER PILOTS THAT ARE TRYING TO FLY 3D AT THE SAME TIME!!! or fly when you have the flight line to yourself.

A problem I heard about was electric line running all types. 3D, no matter power choice, should be on the 3D line IMHO.

That would be great !!!!!! A high energy only flight line would make for some spectacular midair collisions !!

yes, but it was Abrahams first year as flight line overlord , so give him a chance to learn.

No complaining here. Just exposing where I think the "perceived" issue may have been.

I've not been to JN so I can't really speculate about the actual flight lines, but if you ask me I think it'd be a better idea to have the 2 flying styles separated- 1 for those who want to fly high energy all the time, and 1 for those who are always down on the deck, low and slow.

Most of the hovering at the 3D line is directly over the runway , in front of the pilot stations.
IMHO that in it self prevents any real pattern. And nobody wants to hover 150 feet out. 3D is, in close , in your face stuff. That's what it is.

In regards to safety , I think the high energy stuff should be out 150+ feet, and not down the runway.
WIN WIN , and everybody is happy.
