Mass Launch Joe Nall 2012 “200 Ultra Micros”

Mass Launch Joe Nall 2012 “200 Ultra Micros”
Thursday May 17, 2012 5:30 P.M.
I was talking with Pat the other day about when we launched 25 old timers 15 years ago and then a couple years ago we launched 73 T-28. There is nothing like seeing the air swarming with R/C airplanes. So here we go again. We figure almost everyone has a micro in their car or trailer, so what better plane to pick. Bring your Ultra Micros 3.5 ounces or less to the Main Flight line at 5:00 to get organized and for a group photo. We will line up 100 planes at a time and launch the first group at 5:30. Please do not turn your Transmitter on till 5:30 for safety reasons. They will fly for 10 minutes and then the next group will follow. Be part of this spectacular event and join us for the most airplanes ever flown in 20 minutes at the Joe Nall. This is sure to be a Kodak moment.

You should make it 4 ounces or less as a good many of the micros are 3.5oz etc.

I say we try for 200 at once, then call it a micro combat!

Kodak moment for sure! I'll be the camera jockey while Zandor jumps into the gauntlet of micros with our little T-28, then we'll switch and I'll fly. Can't miss out on that kind of fun.

If we all had E-Flite UMX Extra 300s, we could all hover in our own "personal space" and 200 would be very doable.

Agreed, Daniel. lol. Or 4-sites with decent batteries...
Looks like Zandor wants to use the 4-site for this one. It's gonna be a swell time! I love mass launches...

I have a UMX 300. Count me for 100+ hovering at the same time .

I also have a F4U UMX that would love to be in the Battle of the last plane standing, I mean flying.

UMX Extra 300 Upgrades!!! Micro Carbon fiber to Square it & Strengthen

Hey hey hey....

Ok, So do you want to Strengthen & Square up your UMX Extra 300 ?

No Problem, already worked it out here, with excellent details and PICTURES

https://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/...ad.php?t=72342

Feel free to Meet my son and I at the Main line and check out my upgrades up close and personal, looks like a factory job at the moment, not sure how it will turn out after the 100 flight rally ....
We are crusing down with Henry B, Nate & Wildman Don, we will be up the very far left side of the main line in Nate's RV !!!!

Thank God for Joe Nall !!!!
Thanks Pat for hosting !!!

My son is especially happy with Nate's RV this year, beings the windstorm down by the 3D line, by the woods last year caused a lot of havoc, Carl F, my son and & jumped in one tent and watched our other tent get FLATTENED, then the tree feel right down from us and missed everyone in that section, thank God once again!

Hope to see you all there again!!!

This is going to be a monumental happening at Joe Nall! And with the low mass of the micros, it should be a pretty safe endeavor in the event that any of them "stray". Most of all, it will be COOL!

Here's a few inspirational photos from 2009's fun mass launch. HAVE FUN!
