IMAC competition in Aussie land has been on an ever increasing upward surge for the last 4 years and this year has gone off the hook!

October 2005 saw the running of the inaugural DA Challenge, which was a well run weekend IMAC competition. Ian Howard (Howie) from DA Australia had a vision that this competition was bound for greater things and planning was put in place to step it up for 2006, but, venue issues plagued the planning, and whilst June 2006 saw the event run, all the grand plans for a huge event failed to be possible.

Roll on 2007!! December 2006 saw the launch of the 2007 Desert Aircraft Queensland Challenge, venue to be the Sunshine Coast Model Flying Club, situated at the resort town of Coolum Queensland Australia. With this launch, was the promise of a guaranteed $20K in cash and prizes WOOOOHOOOOO!

AWESOME!!!!, well ladies and model flyers, that was guaranteed, now the dust is settled and the prize pool has been nearly fully compiled, that has been increased to a mind blowing $50,000.00+.

Desert Aircraft Australia and Desert Aircraft (US) have combined to get behind the sponsorship of this event and provide the following prize list:

Freestyle Prize pool of $8000.00 (First prize $4000.00) in cash,
NO LESS than 20, yep, you read it here 20 DA engines,
C-Arf kits, Wild Hare Kits, and lots of other lovely items from Emcotec, Powerbox systems, Mejzlik, Fromeco, MTW, BMB, Tru-Turn, Futaba, JR and Hitec.

Sorry guy's BT is just the keeper of the booty, he is definately not part of the prize pool, he may attend the after party though!

I'm keen as mustered but know the criteria of entry, so next year watch out all you sportsman competetors there will be a new kid on the block.
